Create Your Own Textile – Samuel Slater Experience

An interactive exhibit where visitors design their own textiles through a loom-inspired digital interface. Using touchscreen controls, guests select patterns, choose colors, and add custom monograms to generate a personalized fabric design. The experience was developed to complement the museum’s collection of historic looms and highlight the innovation of the Jacquard weaving process. My role included contributing to the visual design and interactive flow, ensuring the game felt tactile and engaging while remaining educational. The result is a playful yet historically grounded activity that bridges 19th-century textile technology with modern digital storytelling.
